Two US Navy destroyers sailed through the Strait of Hormuz on 4 May while Iran fired missiles, drones and fast-attack boats at them. Both destroyers shot down every attack and came through without a scratch. Two American cargo ships behind them completed the journey safely. The Strait of Hormuz is a narrow waterway between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula through which about a fifth of the world's oil passes. Iran has been blocking ships since late February.
