ARX Robotics and DEUTZ, the German engine maker, delivered the first GEREON ground robots to Ukraine on 29 September, 12 weeks after production began at DEUTZ in Ulm, as what they call part of a larger production volume1. The Munich company had opened Poland as its fourth market on 9 September, promising an investment of tens of millions of euros, a permanent headquarters and a training and sustainment site2.
On 16 September General Dynamics Land Systems UK and ARX Robotics UK agreed to team HECTOR autonomous wingmen with the British Army's Ajax armoured vehicle, with final assembly and machining in South Wales3. On 4 October, during German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's visit to Kyiv, ARX and Ukrainian robot maker Roboneers signed a wider technology partnership on top of the joint venture they formed in June4.
Two months ago ARX's robots were proving themselves in a US Army desert exercise. Four releases in four weeks now give it assembly in Germany and Britain, a headquarters and training site in Poland, and a delivery record in Ukraine. None of the four states a quantity or a price, so the size of the business behind that footprint stays hidden.
