Iran Conflict 2026Background
KavoshCom Asia R and D Group is an electronics trading company registered in Tehran on 25 May 2005. Iranian records give it national identifier 10102875382 and company registration number 246906. Its listed addresses are off Shahid Beheshti Street and on Mottahari Avenue in Tehran, and it also trades as KavoshCom R and D Group.
Kavoshcom buys; it does not manufacture. Iranian defence procurement under sanctions takes that shape: a civilian-registered trading company stands between a foreign supplier and a state arms producer, so that neither invoice names the other. A compliance screen therefore matches on national identifier 10102875382 and registration number 246906 rather than on any product line.
What gives the company standing in this conflict is the position American designators assign it. Treasury treats it as the hub of an import route feeding Iran's drone and missile programmes, which makes its listing a statement about which Iranian weapons programmes Washington believes still depend on foreign parts. It carries the NPWMD and IFSR sanctions programme tags.
Treasury puts the firm at the centre
OFAC's notice of 29 September 2026 does not treat this as one listing among ten. It places the Tehran firm at the hub and arranges the other nine around it: a Hong Kong trader, EC Mojo Technology Co Limited, as the source of components, and two Iranian military producers as the destinations.
Treasury alleges The Firm bought electronics, including connectors, for Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industrial Company, which builds uncrewed aircraft. A second recipient, Shahid Bakeri Industrial Group, took electronics for work Treasury attributes to solid-fuelled Ballistic missile development. The listing authority is Executive Order 13382, covering Weapons of Mass Destruction and their delivery systems, which fixes both the trigger and the route off the list. These are the designating government's allegations. No court has ruled on them, and Tehran has published no response.
