Michael Marra, a Scottish Labour MSP, has been floated by colleagues as a possible candidate for the party's leadership contest that opened on 3 August 2026 following Anas Sarwar's resignation.
Nominations close on 17 August, with a members' ballot from 28 August to a result on 19 September if the contest is contested.
