CNIM Systemes Industriels

CNIM Systemes Industriels is a French industrial engineering group with roots in shipbuilding and naval construction dating to 1856 in La Seyne-sur-Mer, where it built France's first ballistic submarine launch systems and the missile-firing system for the SSBN Le Redoutable. The REEL group acquired the company in September 2022. It now employs around 500 people at a 60,000 square metre site, offering design, manufacturing and qualification across defence, nuclear deterrence, space and semiconductor sectors.

In unmanned ground systems, CNIM has developed engineering reconnaissance and mobility-assurance payloads that integrate with third-party robotic vehicles rather than building its own platform. That approach let it enter the NATO ground-robotics market through partnership rather than capital investment in vehicle development.

At Eurosatory 2026, CNIM and Milrem Robotics formalised a relationship the two companies had already tested through joint deliveries to Ukraine, signing a memorandum making Milrem's THeMIS CNIM's preferred platform and CNIM the preferred engineering-reconnaissance payload partner on it. The deal targets combined route-clearance capability for eastern-flank NATO allies at a time of high demand for that capability.
