The Territorial Recruitment Centre, formally the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centre, is Ukraine's local draft office, responsible for conscription and mobilisation processing.
At about 19:30 on 2 August 2026 a gunman opened fire on staff outside a centre on Kosmonavtiv Street in Odesa's Cheremushki district, injuring four, one hospitalised with a serious back wound; the suspect was detained at the scene . The centres have become flashpoints as mobilisation grows more unpopular deeper into the war.
