Royal Bank of Scotland built its headquarters at 1 Redheughs Avenue, South Gyle, Edinburgh, once the visible seat of one of Scotland's largest banks.
RBS retains its own retail banking brand in Scotland, serving personal and business customers under that name, but has operated as part of NatWest Group since the parent company's rename from RBS Group in July 2020. The Edinburgh building itself no longer functions as the bank's working headquarters.
The building is now the subject of a data-centre redevelopment proposal contested through Scotland's planning appeals system, with a decision targeted for 8 September 2026.
