Born in Embalse, córdoba, Molina came through Boca Juniors before spells at Udinese and, from 2022, Atlético Madrid. He was Argentina's first-choice right-back at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, scoring in the quarter-final win over the Netherlands as Argentina won that tournament, and held the same starting role for the 2026 campaign in North America.
