Runway opened a London office on 1 June 2026 and named the BBC, Fremantle and WPP (the world's largest advertising group) as paying UK enterprise customers. The company committed $100m in UK investment over 18 months, scaling past $200m through 2028.
The London entity solves a real procurement obstacle. UK broadcasters require a local legal counterparty and UK data-protection agreements before signing enterprise contracts. Runway could not satisfy those requirements as a US-only company.
