Background

Saudi Telecom Company (STC) is Saudi Arabia's dominant telecom group, majority owner of both Arabian Internet and Communications Services Company, trading as 'solutions', and infrastructure Arm Center3.

On 3 August 2026, solutions signed a SAR 364m contract with Center3 to build data-centre facility DDC307 in Dammam. For STC, the deal is not new business won so much as one part of the group building for another: the same shareholder capital funds both the contractor and the customer, so the wider group expands its own compute infrastructure without touching the open market .

STC frames the build as ordinary internal capacity expansion rather than a commercial win against outside competition; financial impact is expected from the first quarter of 2027.
