Pedro Porro

Pedro Porro is a Spanish right-back for Tottenham Hotspur and the Spain national team, known for his attacking overlaps and delivery from wide areas. Born on 13 September 1999 in Don Benito, Extremadura, he came through Rayo Vallecano's youth system and a spell with Girona's reserve side before Manchester City signed him in 2019. He never played for City's first team, spending the following seasons on loan at Real Valladolid and then Sporting CP, where he won the Primeira Liga and Taca da Liga double and was named to the league's Team of the Year.

Tottenham made his move permanent in January 2023 for around €45 million. He has become a first-choice attacking full-back under successive managers, contributing goals in Tottenham's run to the 2024-25 UEFA Europa League title, including the equaliser in the quarter-final first leg against Eintracht Frankfurt and a goal in the semi-final second leg against Bodo/Glimt that sent Spurs to the final in Bilbao. He made his senior Spain debut in 2021 and has become a regular under Luis de la Fuente.

Porro scored Spain's second goal in a 2-0 win over France in the semi-final on 14 July, doubling Mikel Oyarzabal's 22nd-minute penalty to send Spain into their first World Cup final since they won the tournament in 2010. Spain face Argentina in the final on 19 July.
