DOK-ING is a Croatian manufacturer of remotely operated and autonomous ground vehicles designed for hazardous environments, with a core portfolio spanning humanitarian and military demining, CBRN response and critical-infrastructure protection. Founded in Zagreb, the company built its reputation on heavy-duty demining machines before expanding into unmanned combat systems, and its flagship platform is the MV-8 Komodo, a 17-tonne UGV with a payload capacity exceeding 8.5 tonnes.
In March 2026 Germany's Rheinmetall acquired a 51% controlling stake in DOK-ING, with founder Vjekoslav Majetić retaining the remaining 49%. The deal brings DOK-ING into Rheinmetall's unmanned systems division, giving it access to advanced autonomous capability modules and weapons integration, and consolidates European sovereign capability in heavy-duty demining and breaching at a time when peer-adversary minefields are a defining feature of the war in Ukraine. DOK-ING has also delivered unmanned systems to Ukraine in partnership with Milrem Robotics.
