BBVA Research is the economic research Arm of the Spanish banking group BBVA. On 17 September 2026 it published a joint bulletin with the Fedea foundation examining why AI use in Spain rises sharply with education level.
The bulletin's Spanish findings echoed euro-area numbers the ECB had published days earlier: use roughly doubled between 2024 and 2026 (26% to 52%), with a wide split by education (61% among graduates versus 37% for others).
Unlike Fedea, whose page leads on the Spanish finding itself, this page follows BBVA Research's role: pairing its bank-economics expertise with Fedea's applied labour research to test whether Spain fits the wider European pattern. The bundle gives no BBVA Research-specific numbers beyond that match; this page will ADD them once published.
