Iran Conflict 2026Background
Badr Camp, also written Bader Camp, is a military complex in Khormaksar district in Aden. It lies near Aden International Airport, beside one of southern Yemen’s main transport and security sites. A United Nations human rights report placed the 39th Armoured Brigade and 89th Infantry Brigade at the camp before fighting displaced those formations in August 2019.
Control of the complex remains publicly unconfirmed. Yemen’s fragmented command structure and repeated fighting around Aden make the older unit assignments an unreliable guide to present ownership. Public records identify Badr Camp as an Aden military site near the airport, but they do not name a current operator.
