Background
Pulsar is Anduril's software-defined electronic warfare system that uses AI at the edge to detect, identify, and jam hostile drones. Anduril unveiled it at the World Defense Show in Riyadh in 2026, targeting Gulf States under active drone and missile threat from the Iran conflict.
The system comes in multiple variants: Pulsar (tripod-mounted, 360-degree coverage), Pulsar-V (vehicle-mounted), Pulsar Alpha (airborne), and Pulsar-L (lightweight, under 25 pounds, shoebox-sized). All use software-defined radio and edge computing to apply focused jamming while minimising interference with friendly communications. If one system encounters an unknown signal, the threat data propagates across the network within hours.
Pulsar integrates with Anduril's Lattice command platform and can operate standalone or as part of a layered Counter-UAS architecture alongside kinetic and directed-energy systems. Pulsar-L is already fielded in operational environments.
