PCO S.A. is a Warsaw-based maker of military optoelectronics and part of the Polish state defence group PGZ. It traces its origins to a ministerial decision of 1976 and calls itself Poland's largest optoelectronics maker. It builds night-vision, thermal-imaging and laser equipment, including weapon sights, goggles and vehicle observation systems, and employs more than 600 people.
On 10 September 2026 it agreed at MSPO, the Kielce defence show, to build its optoelectronic systems into Milrem Robotics' uncrewed platforms and develop new ones.
The deal gives Milrem Polish sensors for its ground robots and gives PCO a route into uncrewed vehicles alongside its crewed vehicle work. Milrem already builds its THeMIS robot in the Netherlands for Ukraine.
PCO sensors move onto robot vehicles
PCO signed with Milrem Robotics at MSPO in Kielce on 10 September 2026 to fit and develop its optoelectronics for Milrem's uncrewed platforms. For PCO it is a route from sights and observation systems on crewed vehicles into robots, inside a Polish market that ground-robot makers are now courting.
The deal also ties PCO's sensors to a robot that is selling beyond Europe. On 7 October Milrem said Hanwha Aerospace had bought two of its THeMIS ground robots, destined for Korean research work and for Hanwha's Arm in Australia, and that the two firms would bid together for Romania's ground-robot programme. Milrem's sale to Hanwha Aerospace widens the market for PCO's optics once integration is done.
