Background
NEP Europe is the European Arm of NEP Group, the US-based outsourced teleproduction company. It is nominated in the Content Creation category of the IBC 2026 Innovation Awards alongside Limecraft and ITV Studios Netherlands, for a live-production editing model built for The Voice of Holland that moves key editorial processes upstream into the live broadcast.
NEP Group was founded in Pittsburgh in 1984 and provides outsourced production services for major sport and entertainment events worldwide. NEP Europe runs a network of studios, production hubs and remote operation centres, with OB trucks and flypacks deployable from London to Lisbon and Paris to Prague; it recently supplied broadcast infrastructure for the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna.
As one of the largest live-production services groups in the world, NEP's European operation is a useful bellwether for how mainstream broadcast facilities houses are adopting AI-assisted live-editing workflows alongside smaller specialist vendors.
