Mythos AI is an autonomy software company founded in 2020 and based in West Palm Beach, Florida. It supplies autonomous navigation, perception, command and control, and mission software for uncrewed vessels.
In April 2026 it signed a memorandum with Birdon America at the SEA-Air-Space show to pursue US Navy medium uncrewed surface vessel work. Work on such a hull started for Birdon on 24 September 2026 at the C&C Marine yard in Belle Chasse, Louisiana, and Mythos AI provides its steering software. The yard expects to finish a hull every two months. No buyer has been named, and Birdon has given no figure for further boats.
Five days later the Navy named Galliano Marine Services, HII and Saronic Technologies as its three production builders, and Birdon was not among them. Mythos AI's route to Navy hulls therefore runs through later orders, such as the drones.mil marketplace the Navy opens from 16 November 2026.
