Ismael Saibari

Ismael Saibari is a Moroccan attacking midfielder Born on 28 January 2001 in Terrassa, Spain, to parents from Ksar El Kebir in northern Morocco. He joined PSV Eindhoven's academy in 2020 from Belgian club KRC Genk and developed into one of the Eredivisie's most productive attacking midfielders, recording 42 goals and 29 assists across six seasons and winning three Eredivisie titles, the Dutch Super Cup three times and the Dutch Cup twice. His 2025-26 form, 19 goals and 9 assists in 37 games, brought the Eredivisie Player of the Season award. On 1 July 2026 he completed a move to Bayern Munich for a reported €50m, PSV's record sale, signing a contract to 30 June 2031 and taking the number 34 shirt. He holds 31 senior caps and has scored 10 goals for Morocco.

Saibari opened the scoring in the 21st minute of Morocco's 1-1 draw with Brazil at MetLife Stadium on 13 June 2026, finishing a Brahim Diaz pass before Vinicius Junior levelled. He scored again in Morocco's 4-2 win over Haiti on 24 June and struck the decisive penalty as Morocco eliminated the Netherlands on penalties on 29 June, finishing the group and knockout rounds as Morocco's top scorer. Days after completing his move to Bayern Munich, Saibari limped off with a thigh injury on 22 minutes of Morocco's 3-0 round-of-16 win over co-host Canada on 4 July, leaving his fitness for the 9 July quarter-final against France in doubt.
