C&C Marine and Repair is a shipyard in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. Its order book now includes uncrewed vessel construction.
On 24 September 2026 the yard started work on a medium uncrewed surface vessel (MUSV) for Birdon America, which acts as prime contractor and design authority; Mythos AI supplies the autonomy software. The yard plans to turn out one vessel every two months.
Birdon has not named the programme's customer. Birdon was absent from the US Navy's 29 September award, which went to Galliano Marine Services, HII and Saronic Technologies, and has said neither WHO ordered the boat nor how many it will build. That leaves C&C Marine's production line, at one hull every two months, as the only published measure of the programme's size.
