Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is a global management consultancy founded in Boston in 1963, now with more than 100 offices worldwide. It has been structured as an employee partnership since 1979 and remains privately owned by its partners.
BCG's July 2025 research on sovereign-cloud price premiums, put at 10 to 30 per cent, was cited in a comparison table Civo published in May 2026. Two of the four figures in that table traced to BCG data covering AWS GovCloud and Azure Government, US federal products rather than the European commercial services the table was comparing against; the table is no longer on Civo's live pricing page.
