BC Place

BC Place in Downtown Vancouver was the scene of Canada's greatest-ever World Cup performance on 18 June 2026, when the host nation demolished Qatar 6-0 (their largest World Cup victory) with Jonathan David scoring a hat-trick . The result confirmed Canada's qualification from Group B alongside Switzerland and made BC Place a landmark venue in Canadian football history.

Opened in June 1983, BC Place features a retractable cable-supported roof, the largest of its type in the world when installed during a 16-month renovation completed in 2011. Its standard capacity is 54,500, configured to 48,821 for World Cup matches. The stadium serves as the home ground for Vancouver Whitecaps FC (MLS) and the BC Lions (CFL). It previously hosted the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Final.

BC Place is hosting seven 2026 World Cup matches in total, including five group stage games, a Round of 32 and a Round of 16, making it one of Canada's two principal host venues for the tournament.
