Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice for Portugal against Uzbekistan in Houston on 23 June, aged 41. He became the first player to score at six different World Cups. He is also now the oldest man to score two goals in a single World Cup match.
Ronaldo's 10th tournament goal takes him past Eusebio as Portugal's all-time World Cup scorer. His sixth-tournament appearance came four days after Messi set the oldest multi-goal record, a record Ronaldo immediately surpassed.
