CENTCOM announced on 13 August 2026 that it plans to establish Task Force Falcon Strike, a multinational, multi-domain command for one-way attack drones led by SOCCENT staff. 'Attack drone' is CENTCOM's own branding; no source classifies the unit's mission as offensive or defensive.
CENTCOM's own spokesperson declined to say whether any other country had joined, even informally, or which nations it expects to participate.
