Russia-Ukraine War 2026: Mentioned in: Putin clears sale of AO UniCredit BankBackground
Order No. 368-rp is a Russian presidential order that Vladimir Putin signed on 5 October 2026. It permits a reorganisation of AO UniCredit Bank that spins off a company whose shares go to the bank's sole shareholder, UniCredit S.p.A., and transactions to acquire 100% of the bank's shares from UniCredit. It names no buyer and no price.
The order is a special decision under point 5 of Decree No. 520 of 5 August 2022, which bars deals in key Russian assets held by investors from unfriendly states without the president's permission. Order No. 368-rp states that no other Russian permits or consents are needed.
Because UniCredit counts among the few big Western lenders left in Russia, the order clears one of the larger remaining exits, on the Kremlin's terms.
