A veteran of NASA human spaceflight operations, Knight has served as a flight controller and flight director across multiple programmes including the Space Shuttle and International Space Station. For Artemis II, Knight leads the team managing Orion through its ten-day lunar flyby mission, the first crewed flight beyond low Earth orbit since Apollo 17 in 1972.
