Maxine Dexter is a lung and critical-care physician who represented Oregon's 33rd state House district from 2020 to 2024, chairing the Oregon House Housing and Homelessness Committee, before winning Oregon's 3rd congressional district in 2024 and taking her seat in Congress in January 2025.
