Harbinger is the US company supplying the ground-vehicle platform for American Rheinmetall's Project Sustainment award, an 18-month US Army contract for hybrid-powered autonomous logistics UGVs announced 31 July 2026. Its hull is the physical vehicle the Army's other two partners build onto.
Forterra provides the autonomy software running on Harbinger's hull, and Primordial Labs the Anura natural-language interface a soldier uses to direct it, together forming a three-company autonomous logistics team under American Rheinmetall's prime contract. Harbinger's own contribution is the hardware base: the hybrid-powered chassis rated for company-sized element sustainment missions rather than the software that drives it.
