FalconWorks is BAE Systems' internal advanced-projects division, credited as the builder of Brontanax, Britain's first sovereign uncrewed Collaborative Combat Aircraft, unveiled at Farnborough on 22 July 2026.
BAE is assembling its drone capability two ways at once. FalconWorks builds the combat-air CCA in-house, while wholly owned subsidiaries Malloy Aeronautics (heavy-lift logistics drones) and Callen-Lenz (smaller ISR platforms) supply the tiers around it, giving one prime ownership of logistics, ISR and combat air under a single roof.
The structure lets BAE keep its most sensitive combat-air work internal while buying specialist capability at the edges, a different model to the joint-venture route Leonardo and Baykar chose for the rival Astore Levante programme.
