The FAA's Part 108 rule governing beyond-visual-line-of-sight (BVLOS) drone operations had not been published as of 4 April 2026. The agency targeted March to April for the final rule after issuing a notice of proposed rulemaking in August 2025 and receiving more than 3,000 public comments .
