European Tech SovereigntyBackground
VAST Data builds all-flash storage and infrastructure software for AI training and inference, competing on throughput against legacy storage vendors rather than on price. It is headquartered in New York and remains privately held.
Its April 2026 round, a roughly $1bn Series F led by Drive Capital and Access Industries with Nvidia among the investors, more than tripled its valuation from the $9.1bn set at its late-2023 Series E, to $30bn. VAST put its name on Civo's Navigate London Sovereignty and AI Edition as a gold-tier backer , one of several American vendors at an event pitched around reducing Europe's reliance on exactly that kind of vendor.
