HMND 01 is the wheeled Humanoid robot platform built by Humanoid, running the company's proprietary KinetIQ control system. Wheels rather than legs were chosen to help the platform clear European safety certification faster than a bipedal design, a practical trade-off aimed at commercial deployment speed over general-purpose mobility.
Schaeffler has agreed to deploy the platform across its manufacturing sites, and Bosch is contracted to build the units, though neither company has disclosed how many robots that covers. The platform's intended markets are logistics, manufacturing and retail, environments where wheeled mobility on flat factory and warehouse floors is less of a limitation than it would be in general-purpose settings.
