HADALUS

HADALUS is an uncrewed underwater vehicle, or UUV, unveiled by Raytheon and Composite Energy Technologies in reporting published 12 August 2026. A UUV runs underwater with no crew aboard, carrying sonar or survey sensors on missions that would otherwise need a crewed submarine.

At unveiling, the manufacturers claimed more than 2,000 nautical miles of submerged range and a cost around a fifth that of comparable long-endurance UUVs. Both figures are the manufacturers' own, stated at launch rather than after independent testing; no operator has yet logged in-service hours confirming either claim, so HADALUS's standing rests for now on what its makers say it can do, not on demonstrated performance.
