Forces Operations Blog, known as FOB, is a French-language defence news site founded and run by Nathan Gain, a Belgium-based writer with a history degree from the Catholic University of Louvain. Gain also founded and edits Naval News. FOB covers French and Belgian forces, procurement, budgets and the European arms industry.
Its Harmattan AI report of 24 September 2026 carried the procurement agency's own account. Lahousse told the blog that the first order for GOBI Zephyr interceptors went out on 23 September, the day after a two-month trial closed, and that 50 would reach French forces from October.
That access makes FOB a primary source for what French procurement officials say on the record, though not an independent test of the programmes they describe.
