Its two 2026 EuroHPC awards, for the IT4LIA AI Factory in Bologna and MeluXina-AI in Luxembourg, both pair E4 with Dell Technologies as subcontractor, a working pattern of European integration paired with US hardware supply that is likely to recur across further EuroHPC procurement rounds.

EuroHPC awarded E4 Computer Engineering the contract to build MeluXina-AI on 22 July 2026, an AI-optimised supercomputer for Luxembourg worth around €80 million, with Dell Technologies joining as subcontractor and the Digital Europe Programme covering half the cost . In April 2026 E4 was picked, again with Dell, to deploy the €290 million IT4LIA AI Factory machine hosted by CINECA in Bologna. Two EuroHPC awards inside four months put the Italian integrator among a small handful of firms Brussels now trusts to build the bloc's AI-factory infrastructure, the practical test of Europe's push for compute independent of US and Chinese suppliers.
