DSV

DSV is the French defence technology integrator that will supply and locally assemble the BLAZE autonomous interceptor drone system for the French Armed Forces following France's order from Latvia's Origin Robotics at Eurosatory on 17 June 2026. Under the arrangement, DSV handles in-country assembly and supply, satisfying the DGA's industrial-sovereignty requirements and establishing a domestic BLAZE manufacturing footprint in France. The first deliveries are scheduled to begin within weeks of the contract signature.

DSV operates as a systems integrator within France's defence-technology supply chain, bridging foreign platform manufacturers and the French military. Its role in the BLAZE programme extends beyond logistics: the company is tasked with building local manufacturing and maintenance capability as part of a technology-transfer arrangement with Origin Robotics. This mirrors France's longstanding policy of requiring domestic industrial involvement in foreign-equipment purchases to develop and retain national capability.

The BLAZE partnership positions DSV within France's rapidly expanding counter-drone ecosystem. As drone threats grow across NATO operations, the French military's procurement of a proven Baltic interceptor and its routing through a domestic integrator reflects both urgency, BLAZE already operates in Latvia, Belgium, and Estonia, and strategic intent to build sovereign French capability in Counter-UAS. DSV's success in establishing volume assembly will influence whether France deepens its dependence on Baltic supply or eventually develops a domestic successor.
