Analilia Mejia is a progressive activist and Democratic candidate for New Jersey's 11th Congressional District in the special election scheduled for 16 April 2026, following the vacancy created when Mikie Sherrill left for another role. Mejia entered the race as the heavy favourite, with early voting running from 6 to 14 April.
The NJ-11 race, coming days after the Georgia 14th runoff result, was being watched as the next bellwether data point for Democratic margin performance in a nominally SAFE district.
