UK Startups and Innovation: Bank proposes £100m aerospace debt fund
View full timeline →

Background

ADS co-designed the British Business Bank's proposed £100m debt fund for UK aerospace suppliers, announced at the Farnborough International Airshow on 20 July 2026 alongside Airbus, Rolls-Royce and GKN Aerospace.

ADS is the trade association representing UK aerospace, defence, security and space companies, lobbying government on behalf of its member firms and coordinating industry positions on policy and funding.

Its participation in designing the debt fund reflects its role as the channel through which the concerns of the wider, often smaller, supplier base reach government and the major manufacturers that depend on them.
