Police are investigating at least £500,000 in Reform UK donations, two £250,000 gifts from Fiona Cottrell, and had interviewed two people under caution as of 10 July, with no arrests or charges. 1 No wrongdoing has been established against any named person.
This is a criminal-law track, separate from the parliamentary Standards Commissioner's inquiry into the Christopher Harborne donation . The possible offences under party-donation law include concealing a funding source or giving false information to a party treasurer, though none has been established. 2
An interview under caution gathers evidence; it does not charge anyone, and the presumption of innocence applies to everyone named.
