The Entrepreneurs Network was founded by Philip Salter and describes itself as the voice of Britain's most ambitious entrepreneurs, maintaining a network of over 10,000 founders. It runs forums for female, immigrant, young and Science and technology founders, a Private Business Commission, and supports the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Entrepreneurship.
A 14 July 2026 founder survey found 65% of founders call Britain an easy place to start a business, but only 14% say scaling one is easy; 82% were negative on tax and 74% cited trouble accessing investment.
TEN pushes back from the opposite direction to rival think tanks: it blames regulation, tax and Britain's cultural attitude to risk, not a shortage of state capital, for holding back scale-ups, a stance that collides directly with the New Economics Foundation's fiscal-accounting argument on the same funding stories.
