Background

TF1+ is TF1 Group's streaming and catch-up television platform, providing on-demand access to programmes from the group's free-to-air channels alongside original and exclusive content. Launched as an evolution of the earlier MyTF1 platform, TF1+ offers replay access to content from TF1, TMC, TFX, and TF1 Séries Films for up to 30 days after broadcast, supplemented by a catalogue of films, series, and documentaries. The platform is free to French users, supported by advertising.

From 19 June 2026, the TF1+ on-demand library became available to Netflix subscribers in France as part of the landmark agreement under which Netflix began carrying TF1 Group's five live linear broadcast channels. The deal made TF1+ content accessible directly within Netflix's interface, removing the need for French viewers to switch between applications to access TF1 Group's catch-up library.

Distributing TF1+ through Netflix reflects TF1 Group's strategic choice to reach audiences within the environments they already inhabit, rather than competing for app installs and home-screen positioning. For Netflix, TF1+ deepens French-language content depth without the production costs of commissioning comparable programming. The arrangement also tests whether advertising-supported catch-up content can coexist commercially with Netflix's own ad-supported tier within the same platform.
