Background
Newspulse is an agentic AI platform built by the broadcast technology vendor Amagi that watches live news broadcasts and scans VOD libraries to identify individual stories, then automatically repackages them as social-ready clips, vertical videos and news bulletins. It tracks on-screen subjects, lower-thirds and graphics to reframe footage into multiple aspect ratios, generates platform-specific captions, and publishes tailored clips to a newsroom's digital endpoints without an editor's intervention.
Launched in April 2026, Newspulse is deployed by the US regional broadcaster Morgan Murphy Media in a policy-driven configuration that monitors multiple stations simultaneously. It is a nominee in the Content Everywhere category of the IBC 2026 Innovation Awards .
