Background

LuxProvide operates Luxembourg's national high-performance computing infrastructure under the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking's AI Factory scheme, the EU's programme for building publicly funded supercomputing capacity across member states.

Its flagship system to date has been the MeluXina supercomputer; MeluXina-AI is a distinct, newer machine that LuxProvide will run in addition to it. The operator's role places it at the centre of Luxembourg's contribution to European efforts to build AI compute capacity that does not depend on renting time from US hyperscalers.
