LuxProvide operates Luxembourg's national high-performance computing infrastructure under the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking's AI Factory scheme, the EU's programme for building publicly funded supercomputing capacity across member states.
Its flagship system to date has been the MeluXina supercomputer; MeluXina-AI is a distinct, newer machine that LuxProvide will run in addition to it. The operator's role places it at the centre of Luxembourg's contribution to European efforts to build AI compute capacity that does not depend on renting time from US hyperscalers.
LuxProvide gains a second national machine
LuxProvide is named to operate MeluXina-AI, a new EUR 80,000,000 system that EuroHPC's own page confirmed on 4 August 2026 is built around 1,008 Nvidia GB200 NVL4 accelerators supplied by Dell Technologies, with the Digital Europe Programme funding half the cost .
For LuxProvide, the machine adds an AI-optimised system alongside its existing MeluXina supercomputer rather than replacing it, expanding the Luxembourg operator's role within the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking's network of national AI Factories. Installation is expected to begin in autumn 2026.
