Hard Rock Stadium is a stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, home to the NFL's Miami Dolphins and the University of Miami's Hurricanes college football team. It opened in August 1987 as Joe Robbie Stadium, built at a cost of $115 million with an original capacity of 75,000, and has carried several corporate names since as sponsorship deals have changed.
The stadium has hosted six Super Bowls, more than any NFL venue except the New Orleans Superdome, most recently Super Bowl LIV in February 2020. A renovation completed ahead of that game, part of a wider programme costing more than $450 million across 2015 and 2016, added an open-air canopy shading 92 percent of the seating bowl and brought sideline seats to within 56 feet of the pitch. Beyond American football, it has also staged Major League Baseball's World Series and international rugby fixtures.
England beat Norway 2-1 after extra time at Hard Rock Stadium in the quarter-final on 11 July, Jude Bellingham scoring twice including a 93rd-minute winner. The stadium hosts the third-place playoff between England and France on Saturday 18 July.
