Filon is an Israeli Defence Forces base located east of Safad in the Upper Galilee of northern Israel. It sits in the hills overlooking the Jordan Valley approach and functions as part of Israel's northern command infrastructure, which covers the Lebanese and Syrian borders.
The base occupies a strategically elevated position in a region that has been contested in multiple conflicts.
