Drones: Industry & Defence: Ondas turns a $876m buy into ordersBackground
DZYNE Technologies is a drone and counter-uncrewed aircraft systems (c-UAS) maker acquired by Ondas Holdings in an 875.8 million dollar deal that closed on 6 July 2026. It is now Ondas's platform for converting the acquisition into signed contracts.
In the four weeks to 22 July 2026, Ondas booked 70 million dollars of new orders through DZYNE and its wider portfolio, including a 6.9 million dollar Australian Department of Defence counter-drone award routed through distributor HIFraser and fulfilled by DZYNE. The pattern echoes how AeroVironment and Anduril bought their way into adjacent tiers, assembling counter-drone, strike and ISR lines by acquisition rather than organic build.
DZYNE's absorption into Ondas comes as the c-UAS market reached 29bn dollars in the first quarter of 2026 alone, with Australia alone committing A$7bn to counter-drone procurement.
