DataVita operates data centres and connectivity services in Scotland. It describes itself as a specialist in hosting critical, high-power and complex workloads, selling co-location, cloud and connectivity. It says it has five sites in Scotland's central belt, two live and three in development. Its DV1 facility in Lanarkshire is, on the company's own account, the first in the UK to hold Tier III certification, running on N+N redundancy and 100 per cent green power at a PUE of 1.18. DV2 is at 177 Bothwell Street in Glasgow.

The registered company is HFD DataVita Limited, number SC467509, incorporated on 15 January 2014 and registered at 177 Bothwell Street, Glasgow. Its recorded Nature of business is computer facilities management activities, SIC code 62030. It has traded under four names, reaching DataVita Limited in August 2015 and HFD DataVita Limited in June 2021. Its sole person with significant control is Hfd Technology Group Limited, notified on 1 May 2024 and holding 75 per cent or more of shares and voting rights along with the right to appoint and remove directors. Three further group companies, DataVita DV4, DV6 and DV7, were incorporated at the same address on 19 September 2025.

DataVita markets itself on Scottish siting, power and certification rather than on legal jurisdiction. Its own site makes no explicit claim about data residency guarantees or freedom from foreign compulsion, which is the distinction that separates the three claims bundled into most sovereign-cloud marketing .
