Dalton and Dawdon is a two-member electoral division of Durham County Council. It covers Dawdon, parts of Seaham and the Dalton-le-Dale area on the County Durham coast. The present boundaries took effect at the May 2025 county election.
The division had 8,132 electors for that poll. Reform UK's Gerry Anderson and Jack McGlenen won the two seats with 945 and 876 votes. Seaham Community Party candidates followed with 845 and 690 votes, while Labour's candidates received 619 and 554. That full election is the baseline for the division's current representation.
McGlenen later sat as an independent before joining the Social Democratic Party in August 2026. The division consequently retained two sitting councillors, but they no longer shared the Reform UK affiliation under which both were elected.
