Certis Belchim sits alongside three other agrochemical incumbents as a research and distribution partner to Moa Technology, rather than as a backer of the £22.2 million Series c the Oxford Plant Sciences spinout closed on 23 July 2026. Its own contribution is distribution and regulatory support for Moa's herbicide chemistry.
Certis Belchim was formed in 2022 from the merger of Certis Europe and Belchim Crop Protection, both affiliates of Mitsui's AgriScience group, and operates from Utrecht in the Netherlands and Londerzeel in Belgium.
As with Nufarm and Gowan, Certis Belchim's stake in Moa is commercial partnership, not equity. None of the four incumbents share in Moa's Series c valuation; they share only in whichever of Moa's discoveries they choose to carry to market.
