Bali Tourism Board

The Bali Tourism Board, or BTB, is an umbrella body for tourism associations on the island. Its own history dates its formation to 1 March 2000, with nine founding associations, and provincial recognition to 10 May that year. It brings businesses into discussions with government and local communities. Its membership includes associations for hotels and restaurants, travel agencies, guides, tourism transport, conventions, attractions and Marine tourism. BTB describes its role as coordinating industry interests, promoting Bali and advising government about destinations. Its stated aims combine better visitor experiences with improvements in residents' quality of life. It also describes cooperation with community organisations, the media and local authorities.
